Jesus, seal my heart with your love

Leaning into your everlasting arms

Nothing will separate me from you Lord

Safe and secure from all harm

Resting on your breast

That intimate embrace

Labouring together

To run the perfect race

A pure heart of surrender and submission

Knowing that mature love

Coming to fruition

Jesus, pressing in close to you

Awakened to your light

Coming up to meet the Beloved

Predestined in your sight

Living in that perfect peace

Bringing joy to my heart

Set me as a signet Lord

In holy matrimony we'll never part

The following scriptures are what the Lord revealed to me through the course of the painting.

 Revelation 22V17

17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let the one who hears say, "Come!" Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. 

 Matthew 5 V14-16

14 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. 

Song of Solomon 5 v5-6
 ⁵Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.  6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. 

Revelation 19 v11-12

 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.  12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.… 

I was also drawn to paint the 12 foundation stones of the new Jerusalem in the painting and was led to Revelation 21.   It's  all because of Jesus.  The Lord Jesus Christ will live with His bride.

 

Jesus who is full of light fills us with His light. He is faithful and true.   Leaning on the Bridegroom, letting Jesus carry us safely and putting our trust in Him wholeheartedly.  Jesus our divine Bridegroom.   He is our promised land, and we can rest in the serenity of our Saviour.
